Juliette Funes joined the VMA team in June 2013. A former journalist, Juliette covered city government, crime and education beats for a chain of newspapers within the Los Angeles Newspaper Group that includes the San Gabriel Valley, Pasadena and Whittier areas.
At the same time, Juliette was a designer and copy editor for several weekly publications, as well as a features contributor to special edition publications and The Rose Magazine, a lifestyle, entertainment and resource guide for all things Pasadena.
Juliette also served as a community news intern at the Orange County Register and earned a coveted summer internship position at the Los Angeles Times, where she worked on the Calendar/Entertainment desk, writing features, interviewing celebrities and contributing to pre-Emmy and Oscar ceremony coverage.
Juliette transitioned into public relations while at the University of Southern California, briefly serving as a communications associate for the School of Architecture, where she was the school’s primary writer and copy editor. She also attended California State University, Fullerton, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with an emphasis in print Journalism.Send Juliette an Email
