Preston Carter Melbourne-Weaver has spent his career specializing in social media marketing in a variety of fields.
After graduating from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, Preston began an internship at Disney Interactive, where he helped launch the Disney Infinity video game project, working on awareness campaigns for one of the company’s most ambitious interactive products. From there, he developed numerous social media campaigns for films, including “The Other Woman” for 20th Century Fox, “Unfriended” for Universal Pictures and “Trainwreck” for Sony Pictures.
Preston then moved into the non-profit and education arena, running all social channels for The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s “Teacher2Teacher” project, where he worked directly with teachers to enhance their professional skills by learning from one another through social media. With Teacher2Teacher, Preston helped build a project from the ground up while connecting thousands of teachers.
As a senior social media associate for VMA, Preston helps create strategies for the firm’s numerous school district web pages, develops content and manages paid advertising campaigns.Send Preston an Email
