Senior Account Associate
We are seeking a Senior Associate who is creative, collaborative and has a strong work ethic to support communications programs for clients in a variety of industries, including education, healthcare, infrastructure development, and tech.
- Experience with public and community outreach campaigns, including developing and implementing new and innovative engagement strategies.
- Experience in current and emerging communications strategies and tactics.
- Ability to communicate key messages and narratives using expertise with written collateral, social media, photo, web, and/ or video. (Please submit samples.)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while also contributing to the office's dynamic, collaborative environment.
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, PR, public policy, administration, or related field.
- At least five years of experience in public affairs, PR or a related field preferred.
- Computer skills (more is better), driver's license/ car, comfort navigating Southern California streets/ freeways/ communities.
- Fluency in Spanish or another language is a bonus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, organization, and ability to coordinate/ collaborate with diverse work styles and personalities.
- Leading communications programs to support clients' initiatives and brands using diverse platforms, including written collateral, social media, video, photography, and current and emerging digital platforms.
- Coordinating and staffing in-person, public engagement events (public meetings, pop-up events, special events), including managing meeting logistics and supplies. Evening and weekend availability is required.
- Developing and implementing strategic communications and outreach programs through all phases of projects, from planning and entitlements to construction.
- Functioning as a liaison to current and prospective clients, coordinating and collaborating with clients, affiliates, and other team members.
- Coordinating all details of strategic engagement, including noticing, database management, briefings, and material development.
- Writing everything from releases, features, and brochures to talk points, speeches, and web content.
- Use of photography/ videography/ social media to tell a story and/ or support overall communications programs.
