Stacy Powell joined VMA Communications in spring 2025, bringing decades of accounting experience, leadership skills, and business expertise to support the firm’s continued success.
Stacy always looked forward to her accounting classes in school – they just made sense to her. Over the years, she has used that natural inclination for numbers to build an impressive career across a range of industries – including governmental, hospitality, investments, product distribution, electric utilities, and public accounting. Prior to joining VMA, she served as Assistant Controller for Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation (formerly San Manuel Band of Mission Indians), where she oversaw the day-to-day accounting operations of the Tribal government.
As Controller at VMA, Stacy oversees the firm’s accounting systems, manages the administrative and operations team, and establishes policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, transparency, and organizational integrity. She is passionate about team development and is dedicated to helping staff grow professionally, feel fulfilled, and achieve their career goals.
Stacy earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from California State University, San Bernardino, and has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant since 2004.
Outside of work, Stacy enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, and looking for new places to explore with them.
